Milliner's Lamp - Vintage Upcycled Wood, 1920's

$1,100.00
Sold

Hat makers played an important role throughout history. This fine craft has been a huge part of people’s lives for thousands of years. But in the 18th century, the fashion industry was in full swing and millinery became a profession.

We found this millinery hat block that is made of wood estimated to be over 200 years old. It has an amazing patina and we knew it would create the perfect table lamp. It can be displayed in its narrow form, or sideways for a wider view.

This lamp delicately balances history with a touch of modernism.

-The off-white linen empire shade is included.

-Antique brass hardware with a paddle turn switch on the socket.

-Antique replica black/beige houndstooth cord/plug for 120V, North America.
